Fletcher & Foley are a creative floral design studio run by Joanne and based in Manchester (although they work across the UK). I was instantly struck by how friendly and creative their work is and what's even more impressive is that many of their flowers are also hand-cut from Joanne's own allotment!
My brief was to modernise and 'prettify' the Fletcher & Foley website so we started by refreshing their logo design. We wanted to keep the brand recognition Joanne had built up with her existing logo (which you can see in the inspiration board below) so we kept the simple, clean lines and typography but played with a sleeker shape...
I also put together this inspiration board for the website, with key references to Joanne's seasonal approach and creative work... I just love the colour palette we ended up with!
I used this as the basis for the website design, which ended up being full of colour, personality and stunning floral inspiration.
We also added a blog to the site as this had previously been done on a separate Wordpress site, which should help with their SEO and make the whole thing cleaner to use for visitors.
Here's a sneaky peak of the website but please do click over and take a look around!
"I adore my new website! I’ve spent quite some time working with Chloe, and what I found really interesting, as a creative, you think you know exactly what you want from a new website. You don’t.
Going into the project I had envisaged lots of large images and white space, this wasn't what I chose in the end. Chloe came up with something much more imaginative. It's easy to navigate, everything is in one place. It was incredibly easy, no messing about re-sizing images, she talked me through the new site, how to update pages and the blog, and linked everything to my social media.
I would definitely recommend Chloe, she just gets the wedding industry. Has a great eye for design and ultimately functionality. It really was fuss free, wish I'd done it sooner." - Joanne, Fletcher & Foley
This has to be one of my favourite projects this year and it was a pleasure to work with Joanne, I'm so happy she loves her new site as much as I do!
